When gentrifiers mysteriously begin to die, a Gullah Geechee handywoman who recently lost her home must decide whether to use her ancestral knowledge to save them or leave the newcomers to their fate.
I was thrilled to be a part of this production as 2nd AC. The film was shot entirely on Daufuskie Island, SC, a small island only accessible by boat. This project is especially close to my heart; I spent two summers living and working on the island.
HAINT was developed in the Tribeca Chanel Through Her Lens program and was produced in Indeed and Hillman Grad’s Rising Voices Season 5. HAINT premiered at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival and screened in select theaters before The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Spike Lee’s Highest 2 Lowest, Zach Cregger’s Weapons, and Darren Aronofsky’s Caught Stealing. HAINT premiered on Hulu in 2026.

Currently, a 5 minute proof of concept (see stills below) for the film is in post-production. The feature length film is intended to be shot as an independent SAG micro-budget in South Carolina.
