Hi there
Thanks for visiting my website! Eponymous Productions is my home for all things creative. I pride myself on being a multi-hyphenate; From poet, to English major, to photographer, to sometimes graphic designer, I love to be all different kinds of storyteller. But first and foremost, I’m a filmmaker.
You can peruse both my Film Projects page and my Still Photography page to get a better idea of the kinds of images and stories I gravitate toward. More writing and miscellany to come!

Ellie Pobis is a screenwriter, director, editor, and cinematographer hailing from Greenville, SC. A lifelong lover of narrative storytelling, she holds a BA in English from Reed College in Portland, OR and an MFA in Screenwriting from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Ellie’s academic journey at Reed culminated in a thesis exploring the feminist reinterpretation of the coming-of-age model. This work continues to influence her writing, which focuses on female rage, nature, and the complexity of women’s inner lives.
Ellie believes in a polymathic approach to filmmaking. A self-taught editor and cinematographer, Ellie has worked on a variety of short films in North and South Carolina as a 1st/2nd AC, DP, Editor, and DIT. She is currently preparing to direct and shoot her debut feature film, The Tale of Maggie Comer, while also collaborating with other filmmakers to bring their visions to life and expand her own skills behind the camera.
